The Law of the Republic of Belarus dated April 22, 2024 No. 365-Z “On Amendments to Laws on Business Issues” was published on the National Legal Portal
The legal act is aimed at establishing simple, understandable conditions and incentives for organizing and scaling “your own business”, creating a competitive environment between various organizational and legal forms of small businesses.
The document amends the Civil, Criminal, Tax, Housing and Budget Codes, the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Procedural and Executive Code of Administrative Offences, the laws of the Republic of Belarus “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”, “On Employment of the Population of the Republic of Belarus”, “On the Support of Small and medium-sized businesses”, “On changing laws on taxation issues”.
The law provides:
streamlining the system of small and medium-sized businesses (will include legal entities - small (with up to 100 people) and medium-sized (with up to 250 people) commercial organizations, individuals operating as individual entrepreneurs according to the list of types of activities determined by the Government, independent professional activities without involvement hired persons according to the list of types of activities determined by the Government, craft activities, activities in the field of agroecotourism);
introduction of a special procedure (“day to day”) for the transition of an individual entrepreneur to a commercial organization with continuity in all rights and obligations to the budget and counterparties;
development of the institution of state support for small and medium-sized businesses.
The main provisions of the legal act come into force on October 1, 2024, others – on April 27, 2024.
