On June 20, 2026, Resolution No. 284 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated June 8, 2026, "On the Activities of the State Employment Service" entered into force. It approved a new version of the Regulation on the procedure for registering citizens as unemployed or citizens who have applied for employment, assisting them in finding work, and deregistering them (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation). The Regulation expands the possibilities for registering citizens as unemployed. Two options are provided: - by applying in person to the labor, employment, and social protection authority; - electronically through a personal electronic account on the unified portal of electronic services https://e-pasluga.by Reference. Access of an interested person to the unified portal of electronic services for the purpose of submitting an application for the implementation of the administrative procedure "Registration of citizens as unemployed" is carried out with strict authentication (using a valid personal key, biometric identity documents, as well as other methods of strict authentication available in the Unified System for Identification of Individuals and Legal Entities or a unique identifier).
