Forest! Welcome! Paradak! 'Forest! Welcome! Paradak!' The Ministry of Forestry invites Belarusians to spend the spring benefiting the forest. From March 16th to April 18th, every Belarusian who cares about nature can help forestry enterprises clean up and improve iconic forest sites. Industry organizations will provide volunteers with the necessary planting material. "This spring, we're focusing specifically on cleanup and improvement. It's symbolic that the campaign itself will be dedicated to the five-year quality plan announced at the initiative of the Head of State. Every Belarusian can help forestry enterprises clean up forested areas along highways, improve public recreation areas for the summer, and install memorial signs," commented Anastasia Matskevich, head of the ideological work sector and press secretary of the Ministry of Forestry. Forestry enterprises will also try to accommodate those who wish to plant their own trees. However, this season, the volume of forest planting will be insignificant compared to previous years: forests damaged by hurricanes have already been restored. Therefore, the emphasis will be on restoring order after the winter. To participate in the "Forest! Good! Paradak!" campaign, please contact your nearest forestry office or forestry enterprise and register your interest.
