Interview with Zarya Newspaper: Stolin Region's Summer Workweek and the Strength of the Student Labor Movement.

17/07/2026 11:07

In an interview with the regional newspaper Zarya, Denis Silivonik, Deputy Chairman of the Stolin District Executive Committee, discussed the development of the student labor movement in our region and its importance for the younger generation. Denis Silivonik: "Student groups play a key role in implementing state youth policy and addressing various social issues. In our region, young people are actively involved in landscaping, working at agricultural enterprises, in construction organizations, and in a regional youth construction project—building a bridge across the Pripyat River between the Stolin and Luninets districts." Last week, the first student groups began work at Rolnik LLC, where young men and women are employed on the canning line for green peas and other products. This workweek, we have increased the number of jobs for student group members. We have over 15 new host organizations, where we plan to employ over 300 young residents of our district. From January to May, all organizations implementing state youth policy conducted extensive preparatory work with employers to ensure maximum effectiveness and create a comfortable environment for young people. Our student groups include young men and women from families recognized as socially dangerous, as well as those young people who receive individual preventive work. Student groups are more than just a job; they are an excellent opportunity to foster friendship, team spirit, and financial independence for young residents of the Stolin region!
