  July traditionally marks the start of the mass recreation season. Large numbers of people, basking in the warm summer sun, visit recreation areas traditionally located in the water protection zones and coastal strips of rivers and lakes. Many people go into the forest to pick berries and mushrooms. During environmental inspections, the Stolin Interdistrict Inspectorate for the Protection of Flora and Fauna encounters a significant number of violations related to the pollution of forests, coastal strips, water protection zones, and recreation areas. Almost no group visit to a recreation area goes unnoticed. Plastic bags, bottles, paper containers and packaging, disposable tableware, other household waste, and municipal waste are almost always left behind in these areas, awaiting other vacationers. We remind you that forest pollution with household and construction waste, municipal waste, etc., is punishable by law under Part 1 of Article Article 16.22 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus carries a fine of up to 10 basic units. According to Article 16.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, polluting or contaminating surface or groundwater may result in a fine of up to 20 basic units.
