Republican Subject Olympiad

he third (regional) stage of the Republican Subject Olympiad kicked off in Belarus yesterday. Five cities in the Brest Region are hosting the third stage of the Olympiad. The regional stage will be held from January 12th to 16th. Students in grades 8th through 11th who won prizes in the second stage of the Republican Olympiad will compete. High school students will determine their expertise in 18 subjects. Specifically, in Baranovichi, tests will be held in Russian language and literature, Belarusian language and literature, history, and social studies. In Pinsk, young people will compete in computer science. The Kobrin base has been chosen for the Olympiad in vocational training. The best mathematics experts will gather in Malorita. Brest will host an Olympiad in physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, geography, English, German, French, Spanish, and Chinese, as well as physical education. Students from the Stolin District will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in eight disciplines: Physical Education and Health, Belarusian Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, Physics, Computer Science, and Geography, as well as foreign languages (English and German). This stage is particularly important because it provides students with a significant advantage when applying to universities
