 This is not a rule, it is the LAW. Smoking, the use of electronic cigarettes, and any tobacco-consuming systems are expressly banned in Belarus in educational institutions. Article 35 of Presidential Decree No. 28. Liability is real. For teenagers (16 years and older): A fine of up to 4 basic units (Article 19.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus). For parents: Article 10.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus — for failure to fulfill child-rearing responsibilities. Important to know: Electronic cigarettes are NOT SAFE. Aerosols contain nicotine, toxins, and carcinogens. At a young age, the health consequences are much more severe.
