The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns

 The holidays are just around the corner, and you want your yard to sparkle with cleanliness. But cleanliness shouldn’t cost you your home or a fine! Garbage collection: Bag up dry grass and last year’s leaves. Compost: Compost anything that can rot. It’s environmentally friendly and free. Removal: Large debris and branches should be taken to designated areas. If you do light a fire: • Do this only in windless weather. • Clear the area for the fire down to the mineral layer of soil (sand/earth). • Keep a bucket of water or a fire extinguisher handy. • Do not leave the fire for a second until it is completely out.
