 The Stolin District Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection informs about the annual Republican review-competition for the best improvement of a surface water body, which will be held in the Stolin District. The procedure for organizing and holding the event is determined by the regulation on the procedure for holding the Republican review-competition for the best improvement of a surface water body, approved by the Resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated June 25, 2025, No. 33. The competition will be held from May 1 to June 30 in three stages in two nominations: • "Best improvement and maintenance of a recreation area on a water body among government organizations"; • "Best improvement and maintenance of a recreation area on a water body among water users providing recreation and tourism services". The first stage of the competition (May 1-31) includes the selection of participants, the conduct of the competition, and the summing up of the results at the district level (conducted by local executive and administrative bodies as part of the assessment of the readiness of recreation areas on water bodies for the spring-summer season). The second stage (June 1-15) summarizes the results at the regional level. The third stage (June 16-30) concludes with the determination of the winners at the national level. When evaluating the improvement of recreation areas, the preservation of the natural beauty of the landscapes, the ongoing improvement work on the surface water body itself (its coastal zone, the condition of the beaches) are given greater consideration. Winners of the competition are awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
