 Will a public sector employee be required to reimburse the state for their education? If they voluntarily withdraw from the university after more than half of their studies, then, according to the Education Code of the Republic of Belarus (Clause 1, Article 78), the obligation to reimburse the state for the funds spent on their training falls, among others, on graduates who were provided with employment through assignment, employment on the basis of a reserved position, redistribution, or those assigned or redirected to work in accordance with an agreement for the training of highly qualified researchers funded by the national budget. A different reimbursement procedure is established for individuals who mastered the content of educational programs under targeted training and who terminated their educational relationship at their own request.
