The holiday of Ivan Kupala falls on the summer solstice and has been celebrated by the Belarusian people for a long time. The centuries-old tradition is also observed in the Stolin region.
It was believed that it was on this day that nature reaches its highest peak. On Kupala night they jump over the fire, look for treasures and fern flowers, and also sing ancient songs, float wreaths on the water and tell fortunes.
