Today is a significant event in the life of our district – it is 85 years since the creation of the district newspaper “Naviny Palessya”.
I sincerely congratulate the staff and veterans of the editorial board of “Naviny Palessya” on the 85th anniversary of the newspaper! The first issue of the publication, which was published in difficult times, opened a large-scale chronicle of the Stolin region. The newspaper archives preserve the memory of fellow countrymen, heroes of war and labor, outstanding figures of science, culture, and art. Born in a turbulent time for the country, having gone through victories and achievements, difficulties and trials with it, the newspaper has always remained a respected and authoritative publication. There is always room for the achievements and problems of our time, the activities of government bodies aimed at developing the region, and relevant materials dedicated to key sectors of the national economy. 85 years in dialogue with the reader is an enviable fate for a newspaper. Its history is a chronicle of our district, expressed in journalistic reports. "Naviny Palessya" have become an integral part of the life of Stolin region, a source of information. Over the 85 years of the editorial office's work, the appearance of the newspaper has changed, the generation of correspondents has changed, but one thing remains unchanged - the relevance of the topics covered, sincerity and devotion to its reader, and concern for everything that happens. The newspaper does not seek momentary glory based on subjective facts, but objectively tells about the life of the region, raises pressing issues. Behind all this is the difficult and responsible work of the editorial staff, which is duly noted and appreciated by readers.
I wish the newspaper staff good health, prosperity, inexhaustible creative energy, inspiration, new ideas, interesting, diverse materials, loyal subscribers and readers! Let your voice be loud and clear, and the printed word always relevant and in demand!
Sincerely,
Chairman of the Stolin District Executive Committee G.V. Protosovitsky
