The industrial complex of the district is represented by the following enterprises, the production of which is mainly focused on the processing of local raw materials and agricultural products. Stolin enterprises produce hard cheeses, canned fruits and vegetables, bakery, confectionery and sausage products, wall materials, electrical goods, nutrient soils (substrates) based on peat and other types of products. The products of individual enterprises are exported to the CIS countries and far abroad.
The largest both in terms of the number of employees and production volumes are: the production branch in Stolin of JSC Savushkin Product, JSC David-Gorodok Electromechanical Plant and JSC Gorynsky Construction Materials Plant.
JSC Savushkin Product production branch in Stolin is one of the oldest industrial enterprises in the city. The enterprise began its activity in 1972. During the implementation of the investment project, a large-scale modernization of the enterprise was carried out. The main objective of the enterprise's production activities today is the production of hard cheese of the highest quality.
OJSC "David-Gorodok Electromechanical Plant" was founded in 1976, currently produces the following types of products - components for Atlant refrigerators: protective relay, starting relay, muffler, power cord, cartridge, harness, electric soldering iron, electric heater, electric drive for microwave ovens, gas stoves and other devices, electronic bell "Rhythm", reinforced cords, distribution blocks, etc. An investment project has been implemented to organize the production of plastic containers with a capacity of 120 liters.
OJSC "Gorynsky Plant of Building Materials" is one of the leading manufacturers of ceramic bricks. A special feature of the enterprise is that clays with unique characteristics are used for production, which have no analogues in Belarus. The manufactured bricks have high frost resistance (able to withstand 100 or more cycles of alternating freezing and thawing) and heat resistance (able to withstand sudden temperature changes without breaking down), and the modernization carried out by the enterprise allows for the production of products that can satisfy any consumer. Considering the ability of ceramic building materials to create a favorable microclimate in the premises, optimal moisture and air exchange, their durability and low thermal conductivity should naturally attract the attention of a thrifty developer. An eloquent confirmation of this can be the fact that in Europe about 80 percent of houses are built from ceramic bricks.
The branch of Stolinsky raypo "Stolinzagotpromtorg" is engaged in meat processing and the manufacture of meat products (a wide range of sausages) with the possibility of packaging in a gas environment. The plant takes an active part in exhibitions and fairs of food products in the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation. It has been awarded certificates and diplomas for the quality of its products. The company's sustainable work over a number of years has been facilitated by the correctly chosen tactics of the enterprise - expansion of both domestic and foreign markets for the sale of products by improving their quality, implementing technical re-equipment of production, introducing new technologies and increasing the competitiveness of manufactured products on this basis.
The branch of OAO "Beresteysky Baker" David-Gorodoksky Bakery is the main enterprise for the production of bakery and confectionery products in the Stolin district. The main task of the bakery in the market is to meet the customer's need for high-quality and healthy bakery and confectionery products at an affordable price.
The company's products are bread, bakery products (rusks, pretzels, buns, breadcrumbs), cookies, gingerbread, cakes, pastries, gingerbread, muffins, kozinaki, puff pastry, flour and sugar sweets, etc. The David-Gorodok Bakery has established the production of fermented and unfermented rye malt. The Stolin workshop has established the production of flour sweets - soft wafer products "Vostorg" in assortment, confectionery chocolate paste, as well as puff pastry products using the "shock" freezing method.
Of the enterprises of the canning industry in the district, OOO Rolnik operates, which was created on the basis of the property of the former OJSC Gorynsky Agrokombinat. The enterprise has retained its specialization, produces and has the ability to produce a wide range of vegetable and fruit preserves (taking into account market demand). These are natural and snack preserves, salads, first and second lunch courses, marinades, tomato, vegetable and fruit juices with pulp, reconstituted fruit juices, birch juices, compotes, jam, etc. The products of OOO Rolnik (OJSC Gorynsky Agrokombinat) have repeatedly become the winner of competitions in the field of fruit and vegetable canned products. The company continues to expand its product range and produce new types of products that are in demand on the market (sauces, ketchups, baby food, etc.)
OJSC Torfopredpriyatie Glinka - the main activity of the company is the production of high-moor baled peat and peat for agriculture. In 2013, OAO Torfopredpriyatie Glinka began implementing the investment project "Substrate Production Workshop". For this purpose, the company was allocated 200 hectares of new peat areas. Peat reserves in the areas of the Morochno peat deposit (Zubkovo site) allocated to the company for the production of peat soils and high-moor baled peat are estimated at 1,040 thousand tons, which will ensure stable operation of the new production for a period of more than 20 years with an annual extraction program of 50 thousand tons. The project has been implemented, and the production of nutrient soils (substrates) has been established, including small packaging (20, 50, 70, 100, 250 liters and Big Bale bales) for various types of plants.
