AGRICULTURE
The agro-industrial complex of the district includes 17 agricultural organizations (three of them are private - ChSUP "MAKSEMMILK", SUP "Rubelsky", SUP "Grushevo-Milk"): 1 agricultural production cooperative, 6 open joint-stock companies, 7 municipal unitary production enterprises, an enterprise for servicing the agro-industrial complex of the district - OJSC "Stolinrayagroservis"
There are 69 peasant (farming) households registered in the district.
As of 01.01.2025, 3450 hectares of land are assigned to them. Farmers specialize mainly in the production of vegetables. Recently, fruit growing has been developing.
Agricultural lands of agricultural organizations amount to 89 thousand hectares, including arable land of 49.4 thousand hectares, the arable land is 40%. The average score of agricultural land is 30.0 arable land - 31.2.
The district's agriculture specializes in livestock production: milk and beef production. In crop production, the most developed areas are grain crops, sugar beets, rapeseed, potatoes, and forage production.
In 2024, the share of crop production in the gross agricultural output was 46.4%, and livestock production - 53.6%.
Milk production is 187.5 thousand tons. Milk yield per cow is 7629 kg. Milk purchased from the population is 1.9 thousand tons.
As of January 1, 2025, the number of cattle was 87,181 heads, including 24,300 cows.
