On July 7, 1944, at about 6 a.m., during the Pinsk tactical offensive operation, which was carried out on the southern flank of the Belarusian military operations as part of Operation Bagration, the city of Stolin was liberated.
On the eve of the anniversary, the 80th anniversary of liberation, flowers were laid at the monument to the liberating soldiers.
