A new social facility for senior citizens opened in the Stolin District.

On October 1, 2026, the grand opening of the independent living home for seniors and people with disabilities, operated by the Stolin District Social Services Center, took place in the village of Khorsk. The event was attended by Sergey Zhidetsky, Chairman of the Stolin District Executive Committee; Denis Silivonik, Deputy Chairman; representatives of district services, the village executive committee, public organizations, and partner enterprises. Welcoming those gathered, Sergey Zhidetsky noted that the opening of the facility on International Day of the Elderly symbolizes the state's deep concern for the older generation. Several organizations received well-deserved awards and letters of gratitude from the district executive committee for their contributions to the creation and equipping of the social home.
