As part of the Unified Information Day, Vasily Litvinkevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Stolin District Executive Committee, met with the staff of the Glinka Peat Enterprise. The key topic of discussion was the significant date—the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident—and the following words: "Chernobyl: From Revival to Sustainable Development." During the discussion with the employees, Vasily Litvinkevich emphasized the historical significance of overcoming the consequences of the accident for the entire country and specifically for the Stolin District. "The Chernobyl man-made disaster was the most severe test in the history of modern Belarus, affecting the lives of millions of people. Forty years ago, our fellow countrymen demonstrated unparalleled courage, standing in the way of an invisible force of nature, and today it is our duty to preserve the memory of those who, at the cost of their health, defended the future of our native land."
