ATTENTION! DANGEROUS ICE DURING A THAW! During a thaw, ice becomes porous, loose and extremely dangerous, even if it seems strong. DO NOT GO ONTO BODIES OF WATER! It is strictly prohibited: • Testing the ice with a kick. • Gathering in groups on the ice. BASIC SAFETY RULES DURING A THAW: Do not go out on the ice: • Signs of danger: loss of strength, white or yellowish structure of the ice - it breaks instantly. Avoid dangerous places: • Fast-flowing rivers, places with springs, estuaries, areas with aquatic vegetation. Moving on ice: • Only along beaten paths. • Test the ice with a stick in front of you. • Keep a distance: at least 5-6 meters between people. For children and fishermen: • CHILDREN ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED from going out onto the ice without adult supervision. • Fishermen should avoid going out onto the ice during a thaw. Rescue equipment: • Always carry a strong cord with a loop or rescue awls. It is important to remember: your safety is in your hands! Take care!
