The "Our Children" campaign will be held from December 16, 2024 to January 15, 2025, and "From the Heart" - from December 26 to January 15, 2025.
The heads of the republican government bodies, local executive and administrative bodies will visit children's boarding schools and family-type homes, guardianship and foster families, families raising disabled children, centers for correctional and developmental education and rehabilitation, children's hospitals, state institutions that provide inpatient social services, 24-hour departments of territorial social service centers, nursing hospitals and hospices. They will congratulate children and senior citizens on the New Year, Christmas and present gifts, and provide assistance in solving existing problems. Public associations and other organizations are also recommended to join the charity events.
During the "Our Children" campaign, among other things, a charity children's New Year's party is planned at the Palace of the Republic, a republican New Year's ball and performances with the presentation of gifts at the Palace of Independence. Participants in this campaign will be students of cadet schools and specialized lyceums, winners of olympiads, creative competitions and sports competitions, students with success in social work, orphans and children left without parental care, disabled children, children from large and low-income families, refugee families and others.
As for the "From the Heart" campaign, its participants are veterans of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of labor, long-livers, lonely elderly people, senior citizens and disabled people who are in social service institutions, nursing hospitals, hospices.
The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the Ministry of Education were instructed to hold a grand opening of the "Our Children" campaign in Vitebsk on December 16 with the participation of children, and the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection - a grand event "Congratulations from the Heart" as part of the "From the Heart" campaign with the participation of senior citizens on January 3, 2025.
