On June 21, in Stolin, a personal reception of citizens was held by Igor Lutsky, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Board of the Second National TV Channel CJSC.
A resident of Stolin, representing the interests of her son, turned to the senator with a request to assist in extending the lease of a plot of land under unfinished construction. The problem did not arise yesterday. For almost two decades, local authorities met the developer halfway, extending the long-awaited deadlines, but work on the mothballed construction site never resumed. The owner of the long-term construction site was advised to sell it. If convincing evidence is provided that a potential buyer has been found, local authorities are ready to extend the lease, but only for the period necessary to finalize the purchase and sale documents, which was explained to the applicant.
Commenting on the essence of the issue and ways to resolve it, Igor Lutsky emphasized that issues related to housing and construction are most often encountered in appeals. The problem voiced by the visitor will, of course, be resolved - as it should be, within the framework of the law. But we must understand that in such situations, a person himself must meet the authorities halfway, take specific actions so as not to lead everything to a dead end.
“At some points the authorities will cooperate,” Igor Vladimirovich emphasized. “But we can’t drag this knot of problems out to the end.” The applicant himself must show will and initiative, which is what we agreed on today.
An employee of one of Pinsk’s kindergartens also came to see the senator. The woman expressed complaints about the correctness of the calculation of her wages, simultaneously telling about numerous, in her opinion, violations in one particular preschool institution in the city.
Analyzing the current situation, Igor Lutsky noted that the state has built a serious system of preschool education. As for the voiced complaints, most of them are most likely in the area of interpersonal relationships.
“It will be necessary, together with the Pinsk City Executive Committee and the main education department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, to visit this kindergarten and talk with people, especially since I have a personal reception planned in Pinsk,” noted Igor Vladimirovich. – I think the situation will be resolved, there is nothing critical. Today, a lot is being done to resolve any issues that people come with. And the authorities succeed.
Summing up the dialogue with the applicants, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus especially noted that working with citizens’ appeals is one of the most important elements of senatorial activities.
– None of the appeals goes unheeded. Moreover, all of them are under control until complete resolution, assured Igor Lutsky. – Today I came to my small homeland, where they know me and I know many. Perhaps this is where the approach of not so much an official, but just a person, is manifested to a greater extent. But when solving problems, I always pass people’s problems through myself. Otherwise it won't work. In any case, the main thing remains the rule of law and fair treatment of people.
