The regional labor safety day in the Stolin region was held under the leadership of the deputy chairman of the Stolin district executive committee, Sergei Stovba. The event took place on the basis of construction organizations of the district - State Unitary Enterprise "Stolinskaya PMK-24", State Budgetary Enterprise "Stolinskaya DSPMK-32", branch of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Brestobldorstroy" Stolinsky DRSU - 141.
About 70 enterprise managers, chief engineers, labor protection specialists from organizations, and interested services took part in it. The construction industry is traditionally one of the most injury-prone in our country; it is gratifying to note that in the Stolin region no cases of occupational injuries in construction organizations have been registered.
During the event, participants got acquainted with the work of organizations, equipment repair workshops, occupational safety rooms, meal rooms, and other household premises. Particular attention is paid to the sanitary and living conditions created for the teams.
It should be noted that despite the uniform labor protection requirements, the conditions for workers’ rest are different.
Petr Volos, chief specialist of the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Stolin District Executive Committee, spoke about the organization of work on labor protection and the state of occupational injuries in the Stolin district; it was noted that for 6 months of this year, no cases of severe and fatal injuries were registered in the area.
The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Pinsk Interdistrict Labor Inspectorate Alexander Snipich, who informed about industrial accidents in organizations of the Brest region.
