Season has come to an end

04/05/2026 16:59

The heating season has come to an end. No serious accidents or incidents were reported at heat supply facilities in the Brest region during the heating season. In the city of Stolin and the Stolin district, there are 11 enterprises operating 49 heat sources, monitored by Gospromnadzor. Throughout the heating season, inspectors from the Brest Regional Office of Gospromnadzor monitored industrial safety through random inspections and technical (technological, verification) measures, including at enterprises in the Stolin district. Overall, the situation at the supervised heat sources is satisfactory. However, a number of violations were noted in the organization of industrial safety work at the enterprises. The most characteristic of these were: violations in maintaining operational documentation and a low level of production control over the operation of potentially hazardous facilities. A problematic issue is the insufficient oversight by engineering services of industrial safety entities over boiler operators (machinists) in the performance of their duties. The need for such oversight is often due to the low level of personnel training, as well as the implementation of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated March 11, 2004, No. 1 "On measures to strengthen public safety and discipline." The spring-summer period is not a reason to relax; on the contrary, it is a busy time to prepare for the new heating season. As the saying goes: "Prepare your sleigh in summer..." Heads of enterprises and institutions should take into account all the shortcomings during the 2025/2026 heating season and take the necessary measures to prevent their recurrence. Leading state inspector of the Pinsk interdistrict department of the Brest regional department of the State Industrial Supervision Service, Alexander Gubin
