Starting May 1, 2026, Belarusians will experience the following changes: Subsistence Minimum Budget (SMB): Its average per capita amount will be 509.62 rubles. The SMB is calculated separately for the working-age population, pensioners, and children (divided into age groups). Pensions and Benefits: The increase in the SMB will lead to an increase in pensions and a number of benefits. Age-related pension supplements will increase (by 2.5%). Child care benefits for disabled children, additional child benefits, and monthly social benefits for needy families (including large families) will be calculated according to new standards. Veteran Payments: From May 4 to 8, financial assistance will be paid to WWII veterans and equivalent categories. Payments will range from 1,500 to 5,000 rubles, depending on their status.
