The next meeting of the working commission for the organization and coordination of the activities of crime prevention entities, organizations, and public associations to prevent fatalities from external causes in the Stolin District was held at the district executive committee. A complex fire situation has been developing in the Stolin District since the beginning of the year. Over the past period, 11 fires have been registered, resulting in the deaths of three people. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus once again urgently reminds citizens of the need to strictly adhere to fire safety regulations. Do not allow stoves to overheat, do not use stove equipment in a way that compromises the integrity of the stove body, remove ashes to a safe distance from buildings, and douse them with water. Do not smoke in sleeping areas; use ashtrays made of non-combustible materials. Pay attention to the condition of electrical wiring and equipment. The meeting also considered the following issues: - preventive work carried out by prevention entities to prevent fires and fatalities in 2026; - on the results of the special preventive event "House without Fire" on the territory of the city of Stolin, Rechitsa, Olshansky, Bolshemaleshevsky village executive committees of the Stolin district in the period from January 27 to January 31, 2026 and other issues within the competence of the commission.
